The Accidental Husband
As the name suggests its the story of a man who has accidentally become a husband and perhaps, my watching this movie was accidental too. The story is pretty much like typical Bollywood masala movie, imaginably due to the Indian-ism of this movie.
The story goes like this: A famous "love doctor", Dr Emma Lloyd on radio station gives love advice to all of her listeners, especially girls. This character is played by very pretty Uma Thurman. One day she happen to give an advice to a girl who is supposed to get married in 2 day, after a very influential advice this girl calls off her wedding to a very handsome and caring Patrick Sullivan, who is a firefighter. This role is played by a very dashing and extremely infatuating Jeffery Dean Morgan. So, in order to take revenge, Patrick manipulates some online legal records, with the help of an Indian master mind boy and gets his and Emma's marriage registered under the LAW OF UNITED STATES. She finds out about this eventually at the time of registering her actual marriage with the love of her life, Richard, character played by ravishing Colin Firth.
This leads her to Mr Sullivan. She confronts him to sign the legal papers declaring that their marriage never happened. The incidents after incidents, meetings after meetings, leads them to fall for each other. SO TYPICAL.
The whole movie after this is a very big confusion. I could not decide what they wanted to do? Did they love each other or not? OMG. As I said its a complete Masala movie. You can picture the end yourself....Its goes something like this:
The wedding dress, The beautiful girl ready to marry her guy, The picturesque church, The girl's Father, The father's advice at the last moment (which apparently he could not give any earlier), The girl's final talk and apology to the guy (which she apparently could not do any earlier), and then what best she can do to evacuate the church and call her new guy of dreams???? well, remember I said he is a firefighter...so what is best than activating the fire alarm? and here is goes, the new groom and bride happily married for ever after.
However, I just loved the last scene, where Emma is pregnant and Patrick comes to the radio station to see her and his baby. That scene is with the best background sound ever, Swasame from a Tamil movie.
alas the movie is finished and the names are scrolling with the same song in the background. Very good effects to cool off the headache of people watching this movie.
The plus points in the movie: Some Indian songs and you can enjoy everyone dancing to those tunes, The last scene, A cake tasting scene where Patrick exceeds all limits of irritating Emma. And THAT'S IT.
I feel like I should be very stringent right now. So, I will give this movie 1 and half stars.

Eat Pray And Love
What would you do if you don't see yourself in your life anymore?
If the one man you choose for ever, doesn't seems to be the 'one'?
If you feel life has no meaning left for you?
If you know that you are gonna survive on very limited resources for a long time?
& what if, even after all this you know you will survive because for one simple reason " you still have the urge to live life".
According to Miss Elizabeth Gilbert, there is only one way to have balance in your life and that is in the three small words " EAT ...PRAY...&...LOVE
That is the movie all about. I am sorry but I did not get the chance to read the book yet, but I just loved the movie. The character of Elizabeth Gilbert is played by non other than " Julia Roberts". Who doesn't love her? and I must say, she has done a remarkable job.
The story is about this lady living the best of her life (from outside) . I mean the best of house, car, career, and husband. But inside she is dying as she knows that she is not happy in her marriage but its unsaid truth. So, one fine day she decides to quit it, then and there, and start a new venture all together. She leaves her husband after a very hard-fought divorce. Finally she is out of her house, no money, and no thoughts for coming life. However, she remembers the words of a 9th generation medicine man, whom she once met in Bali and this guys happens to tell her that she will loose all her money and will come to Bali to learn everything he knows.
So, Miss Gilbert plans a trip for a year out of the advance money which she gets for her book she will publish later (that is Eat, Pray and Love). She first goes to Italy and makes lots of friends there and there she learns to love to EAT. To live life without feeling guilty all the time. To enjoy your self eating all alone.
From there she moves to India. Here she learns to PRAY. She unwraps that God is within us and we need not find him through different ways. Just we need to find ourselves, our peace of mind and there we are with beloved God. The idea is to surrender yourselves.
Lastly, she goes to Bali and there she finds that after all you need balance in life and you need LOVE for that. She happens to find the most perfect man for her and the idea is that you WILL find love in your life. You just need to be patient.
I would happily rate this movie as 5 stars. Its one of the best instigating movie. Its all about finding yourself and loving the greatest gift of God, LIFE.
So, my dear friends enjoy this video
and don't forget to Eat, Pray and Love. Chaos.
My fav dialogue from the movie:
"There's a wonderful old Italian joke about a poor man who goes to church everyday and prays before the statue of a great saint, Dear saint please please please let me win the lottery....finally the statue of saint comes to life and looks at begging man and says ...son please please please buy a ticket.
So, now I get the joke and I have three tickets. :)

Bade ache lagte hain
WARNING: people allergic to Indian serials should avoid this post as they this may cause them indigestion or hypertension or may be any other form of "tion". People who watch serials but love to pretend that they don't ( dont know why?) also should avoid this.
Here comes another serial on sony tv. Bade ache lagte hain is a new serial which has become popular instantly. I suspect why? the story is pretty normal . A middle aged 30 something unmarried girl marrying a middle aged 40 something fatso, rich n famous guy. Then what is so new and fanaticism about this show that this has gained popularly. Maybe because of the popular start cast. However, I think even though the story is pretty normal, the direction is very simple and soothing. All relief from those heavy sound effects and those incense camera movements which always makes your head spin. :)
The simplicity of this show attracts you towards it and the dry humor too is rare to find in Indian television. Howbeit, the best thing which Ekta Kapoor has done is to steal the most romantic song ever made by my Favorite RD Burman saab. In fact am listening to the same melodious song now also while writing this.
By and large this one is worth giving a try. God knows what would take place after one month or so. As of now I would rate this as 3 stars.
I just cant stop myself humming this song.....
hum tum kitne pass hai kitne door hain chand sitare,
sach poocho to man ko jhoote lagte hain ye saaaaaare.
Magar sache lagte hain, ye dhartiiii, ye nadiyaaa, ye rainaaa,
aur?
aur tuuuuuum.
Aye aye I am stopping now but do enjoy this song.

Now n Then
Heyya today am writing about one of the sweetest movie on friendship. Its a 1995 releases movie "Now And Then".
I remember watching it when I was a teenage and fell instantly in love with this one. As a teenage you always are nutty and gutty. This movie gives you both.
Its a wonderful story of four teenage girls , Samantha ( Demi Moore), Roberta (Rossie O'Donnel), Teeny (Malani Griffith) and Chrissy (Rita Wilson). These four friends lives in a small town of Indiana (US). With time two of them, Samantha and Teeny move to city to pursue their dreams. The movie starts with Samantha driving back to her childhood home to fulfill the pact which they made as a child. The pact: when ever any one of them would feel like meeting the other three, then they have to come no matter what. All for one and one for all. This time it is Chrissy, who is having a child and wants her friends with her. So, they all are meeting now after 10 long years.
Samantha is now a famous science fiction novelist, Teeny is a popular actress in Hollywood, Roberta has become a big doctor and Chrissy is a happy house maker. After they four meet up, the story goes back to flashback . You would see in flashback how these four girls are best of friends and how they plan their secret meetings. Its a summer of year 1970 and the girls plan to buy a tree house for themselves, where these four can be together forever. For this they are collecting money. In meantime they plan to visit graveyard one night and after some horrifying things they happen to believe that they have awakened the spirit of young boy named Dear Johnny. Now all they want to do is to find out how he died and put his spirit back to rest. This leads them to many different things and stories. By the end of movie they actually find out about his murder and they all go back to graveyard to put his soul to rest. All their imaginations.
They then buy the tree house and the story moves back to the current time where Chrissy is in labor and is being rushed to hospital with friends. In end all four are sitting on the same tree house with the new born baby girl and rekindling the time of life. They once again make the pact "All for one and one for all".
Its a must watch movie for animating your childhood memories. I would love to watch this movie someday with my girlfriends. I would give this movie a rating 4. Not bad at all. :) Check out the video :

Make It Or Break It
I am sorry but I am very partial about this serial. The story is about four girls training under sticky and rugged circumstances to win at Olympics. All four girls are from contrasting livings and family backgrounds. All have their set of issues and problems but just one thing common in all of them is " the urge to WIN" . This is what makes this one stand out from the rest of same story lines.
The story begins with the entry of a new member in team " Emily Kmetko " . She is apparently the different one, with no official training of gymnastic. However, has practiced on her own for as long as she can remember. Her entry to ' Rocky Mountains Gymnastics Training Center' brings the rest four THREAT to loose. Specially to Lauren Tanner and Kaylie Cruz. The fourth girl ' Payson Keeler ' is a born winner. The first & second season rolls with competition, team playing and bitching between all girls. The serial showcases the life of a gymnast. Season 2 ends with girls winning the Gold Medal at the Worlds.
Payson Keeler:
She is a born star. The only thing she knows is to do gymnastics. She is certainly not up for BOYS. Her attempts always scares others and give proud to her coach. Everyone thought she will be the national champion and eventually the rest of the girls always competed for second, third and fourth levels. Funny but they all knew her potential and her will. The story takes a 360 degree turn after an unfortunate accident of Payson Keeler on uneven bars leaves her not fit for Gymnastics. This changes her world. However as a pide piper , her coach Sasha Belov pulls her out of the depth of sorrows and trains her on more artistic gymnast. This changes her life for ever.
Kaylie Cruz:
She is from a rich and dedicated family . The only girl with a boy friend. However, that never interferes with her gymnastics. Life unfolds after Payson's accident when Kaylie wins the national champion trophy and has to now look forward to Olympics. She also takes a team leader position of payson. But things changes dramatically when she founds out about her mother's relationship with her ex coach, her boy friend cheating on her, her anorexia, and the most 'proving her worth to the world'.
Lauren Tanner:
She is the only child of a rich business man. She is a brat and is not ready to see anyone ahead of her. The only one gymnast lacking team spirit. However, she is the queen of Beems and is the most captivating one. She is the one creating all the confusions, cheating, misunderstandings etc. She is the masala of serial.
Emily Kmetko:
My favorite Emily is from a very needy family. Has a single parent and a special case brother. However, apart from all the problems of her personal life, she has a goal to win. She win hearts quickly because of her fearless and a rock start attitude. Life is never simple and easy for her. Her mother is constantly suffering to collect her fee for the very expensive sport she is indulged in. She is working nights at a pizza corner to earn more money and training at day. Circumstances are always playing against her and she is invariably fighting with them.
Coach Sasha Belov:
The total rock start. The four times Olympic gold medalist and a very strict coach. He is the complete picture of a perfect coach. He is the harshest person on earth at one time but the most supportive at others. He always stands for his team. In season 1 we see Payson getting attracted towards him. However, he explains to her very nicely and takes care of her ever since. He is always helping Emily in fighting with the tricky situations. He is also always with Kaylie and Lauren. Even though at times his team would act against him, he won't leave them. Total Hugs to Sasha Belov.
In total I give this show 5 starts. Waiting desperately for season 3 to come. Check out the video where girls and boys are trying each others equipment:
